C. Jakarta Anticipates Seven Locations Prone to Inundation

Central Jakarta Government anticipates seven locations that are prone to inundation ahead of rainy season this year.

"I have asked related sub-dept. to anticipate locations that prone to inundation immediately," stated Bayu Meghantara, Central Jakarta Mayor, Tuesday (10/16).

According to him, all water channels and gutters should be checked after construction on sidewalk, road elevation and Tanah Abang Skybridge are completed.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. Head, Dicky Suherlan said, there are seven locations in his area that prone to inundation. Those are located on Jalan HBR Motik Kebon Kosong, Jalan Kartini 2 Sawah Besar, Jalan Jatibaru Raya Tanah Abang, Jalan PHB Petamburan, Underpass Semanggi, Jalan Batu Tulis Gambir and Jalan Pejompongan Raya.

"We have dredged channels in several locations, including gutters for anticipation," he conveyed.
